Back Blogging after a long delay. My SOS for MIA starlets yielded a few more for me to interview. I recently talked with Melodie Johnson who co-starred in Ride to Hangman’s Tree (1967) with Jack Lord, Coogan’s Bluff (1968) with Clint Eastwood (left), Gaily, Gaily (1969) with Beau Bridges, and Rabbit, Run (1970) with James Caan. She is now an award-winning author of mystery novels so check out her web site.

I will be interviewing soon Danica d’Hondt, June Wilkinson, and Linda Rogers who was part of Eric Von zipper’s Rat Pack in the early beach movies Beach Party, Bikini Beach, and Pajama Party.

I’m on the hunt again for more starlets that are MIA. Since my last call for help led me to Corinne Cole and Suzanne Charny (update on Suzanne soon to come) I thought I would put out another SOS for the following:

Sivi Aberg, Maureen Arthur, Pamela Austin, Eve Bruce, Arlene Charles, Jo Collins, Lada Edmund, Jr., Linda Foster, Marianne Gaba, Susan Holloway, Teri Hope, Alena Johnston, Candy Johnson, Anna Lavelle, China Lee, Mary Jane Mangler, Lee Meredith (pictured), Kay Michaels, Alberta Nelson, Joyce Nizzari, Jacki Ray (aka Jacqueline Selleck), Jeannine Riley, Pamela Rodgers, Linda Rogers, Carole Shelyne, Jan Watson, and Delores Wells

If you know of the whereabouts of any of these glamour girls and can share, please contact me.

Overall, I had a great time in Burbank at the Hollywood Collectors Show. Hung out with cool McFarland and Co. marketing guy Adam. Got to meet and chat with George Chakiris (Bernardo of West Side Story) who looks absolutely great. He is 70 but looks 50! He is the only celebrity signed photo that I purchased though I came close to buying a pic from Laurene Landon of All the Marbles fame. She was very movie star glamorous all in lavendar. But she could not out diva Miss Julie Newmar who always arrived late and left early. Suffice it to say, she had a line of autograph seekers each day and I was only able to ogle her from afar.

One of the high points was walking into the Virgin Megastore on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood and seeing my books on display. Being the ham that I am I had my loyal boyfriend Ern snap a pic (see above). Note the book Italian Horror Film Directors is by my good friend Louis Paul. Visit his web site for more info.

After technical difficulties I am finally back, sort of. My hot webmaster Jim deserves a spanking for this server mess but I’ll let him slide.

I returned from Burbank last WEdnesday where I attended the Hollywood Collector’s Show. It was a modest sucess for me as I sold a total of about 20 books. Lots of celebrities were there hawking their signed pics usually for a modest fee of $20 per autographed photo but some of them were outrageous. You had to fork over $40 to get a pic of Adam West and Richard Chamberlain had the nerve to sell his paperback autobiography for $40 if you wanted him to sign the book, which retails for $15. Tab Hunter was much more reasonable and sold his hardcover autographed for $27.

More soon…
