HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

To June Wilkinson. When Hugh Hefner laid his eyes on this British Blonde Bombshell, he dubbed her “The Bosom” and she went on to grace the pages of Playboy a number of times. Hollywood couldn’t but help to take notice of her “talents” and she starred in such ’60s exploitation B-movie classics as Macumba Love, Career Girl, and Twist All Night.

You can read more about June Wilkinson in my upcoming book, Pin-ups and Playmates in Sixties Hollywood.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

To hot blonde Go-Go Dancer Lori Williams! She shimmied and Watusied through a number of Elvis musicals and beach movies during the Sixties but is remembered most for her turn as one of the trio of hellcats up to no good in Russ Meyer’s cult classic, Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! Check out the wild opening of the movie on YouTube.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

To international sex goddess, Ursula Andress. As Honey Ryder in Dr. No she was the first official Bond Girl and then played an enticing Vesper Lynd in the camp James Bond take-off, Casino Royale. Check out the film’s original trailer on YouTube.

DV-R ALERT!

Not much happening this upcoming week. Catch Edy Williams as a delectable “Bon-Bon” in The Naked Kiss on 3/23 (TCM 2:30pm) and the next day same channel hellraising Michele Carey (pictured) shoots a hail of bullets at the Duke in El Dorado (4pm).

You can read more about both glamour girls in my upcoming book Pin-ups and Playmates in Sixties Hollywood.
