COME HERE OFTEN?

With all this chatter about Dawn Wells this past week, I thought I’d share a very rare picture of her sexier co-star Tina Louise pictured with Elvis Presley when he was discharged from the army in March of 1960. Tina had fled Hollywood to work in Europe and was hired by Mutual Radio Network to cover the big event.

“The King” and “Ginger” make an awesome duo and just think how they would have heated up the big screen if they ever worked together.

WEAVING WELLS

Click here to see Dawn Wells on Entertainment Tonight explain, along with her lawyer, how her arrest was all a misunderstanding. She was ticketed only for reckless driving for weaving in and out of lanes. She was never charged with drunken driving and the marijuana was not hers but a friend who copped to it.

Whatever sympathy Dawn musters for how her name was dragged through the mud due to poor reporting is negated when she gets an unwarranted snarky dig at Tina Louise or as she calls her “Ginger” for not calling and offering her support unlike her other Gilligan’s Island co-workers. Forty years has gone by since they worked together and I am sure Tina has better things to do than to monitor the life of Dawn Wells.

LIFE IS NOT ALWAYS A CABARET

Over the weekend a crane fell off a construction site in the Sutton Place area of New York City and smashed into an apartment and and 5-story townhouse. A number of people tragically lost their lives and for a short period actress Jill Haworth was thought to be one of them when she turned up missing. She lives in a corner apartment where a portion of the craned crashed. Thankfully Jill was evacuated and her frantic niece was able to locate her.

The British blonde made her film debut in Otto Preminger’s Exodus (1960) and went on to work for him again in The Cardinal (1963) and In Harm’s Way (1965). But she is best remebered as the original Sally Bowles in the smash Broadway musical Cabaret from 1966 to 1968. Jill has lived in the same apartment since 1966.

IT’S ALL GINGER’S FAULT!

Dawn Wells’ attorney issued a statement claiming the reports about his client being locked up for possession of marijuana were untrue and a misunderstanding. Click here to get his version of the incident. According to him Dawn Wells is mortified beyond belief and hiding out on an uncharted island somewhere near Hawaii.
