To my surprise and delight I received emails from one of my fav actors Gregory Harrison the former star of TV’s Trapper John, M.D. and that classic TV-movie For Ladies Only. He is a real nice guy and remembered that I wrote to him sometime ago requesting an interview for my surf movie book at the time it was going to cover movies up to the present. STARLETS WE HATE

Sixties actress Diane Baker’s trolls are at it again. They have written a profile about her on Wikepedia making her out to be some sort of great thespian–we know otherwise. Talk about fiction–they describe her as having “a stylish, elegant, intelligent aura.” I describe her as sleep-inducing zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

CINEMA RETRO

Check out the fabulous new issue of Cinema Retro on selected newsstands now. It contains wonderful articles on Casino Royale featuring interviews with ’60s starlets Barbara Bouchet and Caroline Munro; Hang ’em High; The Man from UNCLE movie One of Our Spies Is Missing; an interview with Michael York; and a piece on Elvis Presley and his starlets written by moi. CHILLER!

I will be attending the annual Chiller Theatre Halloween Convention on Oct. 27 and 28 in the Meadowlands area of New Jersey. Joining me will be Adam Phillips from my publisher McFarland and Co. plus sixties starlets BarBara Luna, Beverly Washburn, Cynthia Pepper, and Fantasy Femme cover girl Celeste Yarnall (pictured above with Walter Koenig), who was featured in a story this past Sunday in the New York Times’ Arts and Leisure section about actors who appeared on TV’s Star Trek years ago who have become much in demand at these conventions.
