To Film Fatales cover girl, Karin Dor. This fiery redhead graced numerous low-budget European movies in the 60s and 70s but is best remembered for her villainess turn as a Bond Girl in You Only Live Twice. Check out this fab retro tribute to her on YouTube.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
To former Playboy Playmate Teri Hope, Miss September 1958! This Lolita-ish blonde starred in the low-budget exploitation movie Force of Impulse before vamping Elvis Presley in Fun in Acapulco and joining Annette for a Pajama Party. Because her career was so brief, the IMDB confuses her credits with Teri Garr. Let me assure you, they are two different people. Look for more on Teri Hope in my upcoming book, Pin-ups and Playmates in Sixties Hollywood.
To Andrea Dromm! She was one of the most popular models during the Sixties due to her All-American tan California-blonde looks but she was in reality a New Yawker. Her acting career was brief as her string bikinis as she replaced Laurel Goodwin as the Yeoman in the second Star Trek pilot but passed on the series (can anyone say Big Mistake!) to make movies. On the big screen she fell for Russkie John Philip Law in The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming! and enticed Troy Donahue to Come Spy with Me before returning to the modeling world.
To sweet-as-pie Mary Ann Mobley. Most fans know that Mobley was a former Miss America but don’t know that she was the first Girl from U.N.C.L.E.(in the episode “The Moonglow Affair” on The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) and Batgirl on Batman but due to interferring network executives lost out on both roles in the TV series (to respectively, Stefanie Powers and Yvonne Craig). As a consolation prize, she did get to be wooed on screen by Elvis Presley in Girl Happy and Harum Scarum. Check out this great tribute to her on You Tube.
