Ann-Margret and the Bay City Rollers. Very strange indeed.
From the Sarasota Herald-Tribune (Nov. 16, 1975; pg. 13):
Ann-Margret will have the Scottish rock music group, the Bay City Rollers, and composer-conductor-pianist Michel Legrand, as guest stars and Sid Caesar as special guest on "Ann-Margret Smith," her new "Bell System Family Theatre" special which will be colorcast on Thursday at 9 p.m. on Channels 8 and 20.
Also appearing on the special will be Roger Smith, co-executive producer (with Allan Carr) of the show and Ann-Margret's husband in real life. He will join her and Caesar in an opening sketch revolving around the Smiths' wedding ceremony.
The Bay City Rollers, who made a number of television and personal appearances in the United States, will perform with Ann-Margret and appear in a solo spot. Academy Award winner Legrand ("The Windmills of Your Mind," 1968) and Ann-Margret will offer a medley of his popular melodies, including, "The Windmills of Your Mind," "What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life?" and the theme from "The Summer of '42." Caesar is joined by Ann-Margret for two sketches, in addition to the previously mentioned routine.
